About Us

We are building cloud software that ingests vehicle telemetry and video, transforming raw data into powerful risk-management analytics for large fleets and insurance companies. Our Machine Learning systems analyze driving behavior from dash-cam footage, detect risky events and predict future accident likelihood -- all to make roads dramatically safer through better insights to fleet management and driver coaching.

The Role

You will join a small, high-talent team of engineers and scientists (currently 6-10 people) as a foundational hire in a rapidly growing startup. This is a senior, high-impact position with direct influence on product, architecture, and company culture.

We'd like for you to come and grow to master our web software. This is the stack of software we currently run to gather and feed data to the appropriate workloads and dashboards that interface with it.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain .net backend analysis and transfer jobs for telematry and user data.
Enhance and maintain public and private APIs and ingestion pipelines for downstream APIs integrations.
Design and manage database schema and policy for large scale, repeatable relational database with media and video component.
Feed live transformations of data to Machine Learning work loads and testing harnesses for Machine Learning teams.
Build new customer features starting from customer need, offering solutions, iterating and implementing final production level product.
Required Experience & Skills

Expert in C#, DotNetCore and Bash,
7+ years of REST API design, implementation and maintenance.
Working knowledge of Python.
Experience in building and deploying software to cloud providers such as Digital Ocean, AWS or Azure
Experience with Apache Kafka and event drive architecture design for scalability
Very experienced with relational database design via Postgres
Native to AI tools, and able to leverage the latest development
Implement web security using third parties for authentication and authorizations
Containerizing the applications using docker and docker compose
Familiar with network concepts and firewalls
Good knowledge of devops CI/CD pipelines
Git Powers - As a true source of documentation
Familiarity with video processing frame manipulation and computer vision processing applications is a big bonus.

This position requires working in-person in Toronto Canada.

Compensation

CAD $80,000 - $180,000 / year + equity
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)
