Could It Be You?The Senior Back-End Engineer will be involved in the development of functionally rich applications and productization of our internally built GenAI core platform and data science models. The engineer will work through all stages of the Agile software development life cycle from inception to implementation and collaborate with cross functional teams including Data Scientists, QA and other software engineers in the implementation of back-end services. Keep readingxe2x80xa6Developing, automating tests, debugging back-end servicesReviewing peer code to ensure quality and correctness of solutionsEnhancing and modifying existing applications as needed to add new features or improve user-experienceDiagnosing and troubleshooting problems with existing applicationsInteracting with data scientists, developers, QA testers, product owners and others in order to understand requirements and scope of workHas expertise working on and supporting a complex hybrid (cloud and on-premises) infrastructure environmentPlaying active role in defining and implementing best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologiesHelping the team to estimate work efforts for user stories, including determining requirements, dependencies and risksConducting research and developing proof of conceptsParticipating in and contribute to all Agile Scrum ceremoniesCollecting system performance and metrics to enable monitoring and operationDesigning and architecting components on solution level and system APIsAssist with the hiring of new members joining engineering teamsHelping on the growth of other team members by providing guidance, feedback, code reviews and mentorship for less experienced team membersSo are YOU our next Senior Back-End Engineer? You are if youxe2x80xa6Bachelors Degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent experienceComplete understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principlesSolid understanding of different design patterns and when to apply themAdvanced knowledge and experience with Python and ideally some experience .NET Core/C#.Experience building REST APIs and the OpenAPI Spec.Experience with relational and object-oriented databases, and how to consume, manipulate and optimize applications that deal with large datasetsExperience with unit testing (xUnit, nUnit, Jasmine, Jest or similar)Experience with OIDC and OAuth2 standards and how to implement themExperience integrating services with third-party vendorsExperience with real-time communication (Sockets, Firebase, gRPC)Knowledge of Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) development practicesAdditional kudos if you havexe2x80xa6Strong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsA strong commitment to upgrading technical skills on an ongoing basis and a willingness to share their knowledge with othersA relentless drive to get things doneSounds like you?
