Senior Backend Developer

Role Overview

You'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our innovative payment platform. Collaborate with a talented, cross-functional agile team to build scalable, performant, and secure solutions that directly impact our clients' success. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve robust and scalable software applications. Architect and implement high-performance APIs that power our platform. Proactively identify and resolve code inefficiencies, proposing and implementing effective solutions. Contribute to technology evaluations and rapid prototyping of new solutions. Develop maintainable, scalable, and performant systems, adhering to best practices in security, accessibility, and design. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring a seamless client experience. Collaborate closely with team members in an agile environment, fostering a culture of shared learning and innovation. Manage server and database infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. See projects through from conception to completion, taking ownership and driving results.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years of experience in back-end development. Strong proficiency in PHP (preferred) or other server-side languages (Python, Ruby, Java, .NET). Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL or similar). Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Aurora) is a significant advantage. Proven ability to design and develop APIs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. A passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team.

Nice to have:

Experience with payment processing or fintech. Familiarity with microservices architecture. Contributions to open-source projects.
