We are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team

in Toronto

Type of contract: Employment contract





RESPONSIBILITIES



1. Leadership - Achieve objectives through the coordination and development of the backend team.


Mentor and support junior developers by sharing best practices, reviewing code, and guiding troubleshooting efforts; Take ownership of system reliability, actively contributing to monitoring, performance optimization, and issue resolution to ensure uptime and quality.

2. Development - Deliver high quality software Solutions


Complete programming of assigned software components for on-time delivery; development projects will include SQL, CLR, ASP.NET, Windows Services. Participate in development discussions to collaborate on approach, functionality, look and feel. Provide technical input on architecture and design for new features, focusing on scalable and high-performance solutions. Conduct testing on assigned components. Maintain technical documentation as required.

3. Issues Resolution - Demonstrate urgency in ensuring resolution of issues


Collaborate with the team to resolve issues; maintain open communication and provide updates. Troubleshoot issues, document findings and resolution, as required.

EXPERIENCE



You will be able to demonstrate your experience through your educational background and / or employment history.


Minimum 5 years of backend development experience using SQL Server, .NET, and .NET Core. Experience in modernizing legacy architectures, specifically transitioning business logic out of stored procedures. Experience in performance optimization strategies for high-traffic applications Familiarity with Azure technologies is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and best practices is a plus
