Our client is seeking a Senior Back End - Software Developer
Key Deliverables for Senior Back End - Software Developer:
Product Requirements & Delivery: Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, and Cloud Architects to translate user stories, design artifacts, and security/data models into technical specifications and high-quality software products, including MVPs and AODA-compliant cloud-native applications.
Prioritization: Apply object-oriented design principles (UML) and microservice architecture to build scalable, secure web applications using Java EE, Spring Boot, Angular, React, Node.js, and modern open-source frameworks. Prioritize features based on business impact and technical feasibility.
Collaboration: Support full SDLC activities including QA, test automation, performance testing, and accessibility validation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate development, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver implementation and support documentation.
Technical Integration: Leverage expertise in databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), cloud platforms (Azure), and container technologies (Docker) to build and maintain enterprise-grade applications. Ensure compliance with OWASP security standards and public sector policies.
Knowledge Transfer & Support: Provide ongoing support, knowledge sharing, and post-implementation assistance to ministry staff. Demonstrate experience in high-impact public sector domains such as transportation safety, licensing, and fraud prevention.
Must haves:
Overall 10+ years' work
experience as a software developer on Java enterprise and Cloud-Native
application analysis, design and development
Operating Systems / Cloud
Platforms: Linux (e.g. RedHat), Windows (Server),
container platforms / technologies (e.g. Docker), industry leading IaaS /
PaaS Cloud platforms (e.g. Azure App Service).
