We are seeking a contract senior auditor to join our audit & assurance practice. This position's primary responsibility will be to perform financial statement audit and review engagements for not-for-profit clientele, as well as preparing tax returns for these clients.
In this role, you will be expected to work 25-35 hours a week performing audit and review engagements. Our busiest time of year is January - June, while the slower period is July - December.
A senior auditor contributes to the success of the firm by working directly with clients and the engagement partner to provide high-quality professional services. We are looking for a senior auditor that has strong technical accounting skills, audit experience and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
Conduct audit and review engagements
Analyze and review client prepared financial statements, reports, and documentation
Build financial statements from a trial balance, supporting and documenting these balances through audit procedures and making adjusting journal entries where required to correct the financial records.
Co-ordinate all steps of an assurance engagement with the client
Prepare corporate tax returns
Track time to support client billing and reporting
Address client and other inquiries as they arise with professionalism and in a timely manner

Qualifications
3+ years of public accounting experience in Canada
CPA designation
Experience in the not-for-profit space is preferred
