About this opportunity:

Cenovus\xe2\x80\x99 Canadian Manufacturing and Downstream Technical Services Department is seeking a Senior Asset Integrity Inspection professional. This role is critical to maintaining regulatory compliance as well as supporting team members in meeting integrity, reliability, and maintenance targets focusing on reducing failures, minimizing operating costs and extending the life of the facilities assets.

This is a full-time employee position located at the Lloydminster Upgrader and requires the successful candidate to live in the Lloydminster area.

Responsibilities:

Administer the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM) program within assigned plant(s)/unit(s), including collaborating closely with the respective regulatory body as the Owner\xe2\x80\x99s Inspector.

Plan, schedule, and execute regulatory inspections and non-destructive examination of pressure equipment and process piping.

Assign appropriate risk-based inspection plans/strategies including planning and scheduling.

Plan and schedule pressure relief device servicing and inspection.

Manage the corrosion identification, monitoring, and risk mitigation programs and work collaboratively with Corrosion Engineering on the sustainment of the Corrosion Management Plan.

Accountable for the completion of pressure vessel, process piping, and pressure relief devices integrity assessments in assigned plant(s)/unit(s).

Assist with the development of Repair & Alteration procedures and reviewing engineering work packages for material selection, weld procedure acceptance, specification and regulatory compliance and application of asset integrity principles and best practices.

Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Successful completion of one or more of the following:

Journeyman welder, pipefitter/steamfitter, or boilermaker

Eligible for certification as Engineering Technologist (CET) or Professional Technologist (P.Tech).

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) eligible for registration with APEGS or APEGA.

Extensive background in non-destructive examination technologies.

API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Piping Inspector.

TSASK Pressure Equipment Inspector, Class 1 or 2.

Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in oil & gas industry.

Minimum 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in-service equipment inspection and corrosion mitigation.

Working knowledge of applicable jurisdictional act and regulations (Saskatchewan), codes and standards (ASME, API, CSA).

The following credentials would be considered an asset:

CGSB Level 2 NDE Certification in UT/RT/PT/MT

CSA W178.2 Level II or Level III Welding Inspector

API 571/580/653 certifications

ABSA ISI-PVPP ABSA In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector

National Board In-service Boiler Inspector certification

NACE Corrosion Technologist Certifications

A valid Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License is required.

This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Cenovus Drug and Alcohol policy which includes pre-assignment testing.
