Arcadis is growing! Our Toronto office is looking for a Senior Architect with experience in delivering complex integrated transit projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and creative mind to take on dynamic and challenging projects and be part of project leading the creative design initiatives on transit projects both locally and internationally. The successful candidate will have:

• a minimum of 15 years of experience
• experience leading and managing teams on large complex transit projects
• be an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative design ideas
• experience with Transit and alternative project delivery models
• knowledge in Transit Agency policies around the development of transit stations and transit oriented communities
• Have a robust design portfolio showing an array of projects and a holistic understanding of the design process

This role sits within the Global Architecture & Urbanism Division which combines the expertise of IBI\xe2\x80\x99s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places\xe2\x80\x99 capabilities, and CRTKL\xe2\x80\x99s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology. Role Responsibilities: As a Senior Architect, your role accountabilities will include:

• Lead and manage large, complex projects and project teams
• Part of leading the process of creating and developing the fundamental design principles to guide a project from the earliest stages of its conception and continue to assist in its development and refinement through subsequent design and implementation phases
• As a member of the senior design team, collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance Arcadis IBI\xe2\x80\x99s Transit Architecture Studio\xe2\x80\x99s culture for design excellence
• Lead Business Development (BD) efforts
• Client facing role with direct interaction with clients

Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum University Degree in Architecture and OAA Registered Architect
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an architectural studio and minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in leading project teams and managing large, complex interdisciplinary projects
• Must be an experienced people manager
• Experience with Transit and alternative project delivery models
• Knowledge in Transit Agency policies around the development of transit stations and transit oriented communities
• Understanding the role of developers in transit projects
• Competent knowledge of building codes and specifications
• Highly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive and detail oriented
• Analytical thinker and problem solver
• Desire to grow, mentor, and inspire a team
