This position reports to the Manager, US Tax Operations - Technologies-Operations sector.

Your role
  • Communicate, interact and support different sectors of the Bank in order to offer them advanced technical support in their american taxa, operations;
  • Participate in the preparation and issuance of US tax slips for all our business partners;
  • Conduct the annual reconciliation of US source income reported to the US government (IRS);
  • Perform related quality control on data reportable to the US government; ;
  • Perform quality control of new business rules related to investment products implemented by our service providers and ensure compliance of USa, tax slips to file;
  • Perform analysis to validate financial and non-financial information and identify proactively issues;
  • Compile, produce and analyze different reports and statistics to ensure decision-making;
  • Participate in the analysis of various requests received from the IRS and business partners;
  • Identify potential problems related to operations and continuously propose solutions to improve the efficiency of our services;
  • Collaborate in the analysis of systems or processes related to the filing of US tax slips;
  • Document and periodically review the procedures of the sector's operational activities;
  • Updatea, work methods and ensurea, follow-ups on the planning of the sector's activities;
  • Assist colleagues in understanding new business rules and ensure the presentation of regulatory changes and new investment products involving changes in our operational processes;

Competencies required
  • Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and seven years of relevant experience or any other combination of education and experience considered equivalent;a,
  • Knowledge of securities;
  • Experience in operations and tax implications related to market events;
  • Knowledge of US tax rules;
  • Advanceda, Excel skills;
  • Good time management,a, priority controla, and ability to work under pressure;
  • Analytical, structured and methodical;
  • Autonomy, great ability to take charge and to work in solution mode;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in French and in English (for dealing with English-speaking partners outside Quebec);a,
