This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.

Assists the AVP Securitization in analysing, recommending, structuring and executing the Bank\'s asset securitization transactions with the objective of minimizing the Bank\'s funding costs. He/She is also responsible for implementing process improvements to increase the efficiency of our securitization programs.

This role can be located in Montreal or Toronto

Responsibilities


\xc2\xba Assists the AVP on the management and execution of existing securitization program such as the NHA Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) program, the CMB program, the Covered Bond program and other ABS programs.
\xc2\xba Assists in the monitoring of all activities related to the multiple programs under the Securitization Team.
\xc2\xba Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of our securitization programs and minimize operational risk.
\xc2\xba Assists in the recommendation and execution of securitization transactions that contribute to the Bank\'s funding strategy.
\xc2\xba Responsible for the development of pricing and risk models related to securitization.
\xc2\xba Assists in monitoring the market environment and the regulatory framework to ensure the Bank comply to all applicable rules and guidelines.
\xc2\xba Assists in the planning, forecasting and analysis of securitization balance sheet and P&L in conjunction with Finance Group.
\xc2\xba Review transaction pricing and monitor monthly performance

Qualifications


\xc2\xba Minimum 5 years\' experience in securitization within a financial institution, a bank treasury, or mortgage originator
\xc2\xba Master degree in Finance, Economy, Accounting or equivalent
\xc2\xba CFA, FRM or other professional designations is an asset

Skills:

\xc2\xba Knowledge of the NHA MBS, CMB and other ABS programs
\xc2\xba Knowledge of securitization processes, familiarity with secured funding structures and legal documentation
\xc2\xba Excellent communication skills - strong oral and written English and French
\xc2\xba Strong Excel skills, including ability to design macros, and use VBA. Knowledge of mortgageHub (TAO) is an asset.
\xc2\xba Motivated, self-driven individual that works well in a team.
