In Mississauga, Vale\xe2\x80\x99s Base Metals Technology Development team work to improve Vale\xe2\x80\x99s competitive edge and support its growth strategies by coming up with safer and more environmentally responsible technology.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Records to join our Facilities team based in Mississauga. This is a permanent position.This role will would support the life cycle of physical / digital records, from the time of creation until disposition.Additional in this position, you will;

  • Support internal service requests; HR, Legal, Tax, Finance, Technology Development, Operations, other
  • Receive new files for organizing and indexing into RIM managed collection, utilizing records management software; GeniePlus, eDocs DM, iRims, InfoServe shared network drive, IronMountain portal IM Connect
  • Classification, indexing and accurate filing of both physical and digital records
  • Conduct searches on requested documents consulting on-site and off-site records
  • Organize and send records to offsite storage, collection maintenance (shelving, etc.)
  • Involvement in ongoing projects (scheduled and approved destruction of records, etc.)
  • Provide on-demand research that is often complex in nature, by researching, locating and gathering information including technical, science and mining industry information, for all areas and all levels.
  • Provide retrieval and re-filing of records internally and from offsite records storage facility; delivery/pickup of requested files as required.
  • Conduct review of records for destruction in accordance with retention policies, obtain approvals for destruction, process and coodinates the destruction with service provider
  • Provide reference assistance. First point of contarct, teaching end users; online catalogues, electronic resources, electronic document management systems.
About YouEducation:
  • Community degree education is required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Library Science, Archivist, Library Technician, Records Management, or related discipline is an added advantage.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in records management, Archivist, Library Technician, or relevant field.
Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attentive to details
  • Excellent Working Knowledge of records management software: GeniePlus, eDocs, iRims, InfoServe, IronMountain and Microsoft Office excel.
  • Strong organization skills
  • Takes initiative and can self-direct to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
