Job Purpose

As a Senior Analyst, Product Development, you must possess a unique blend of business knowledge as well as a technical background combined with agile software development experience. You must have the ability to analyze a customer's needs and translate them into requirements via stories. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work closely with the Project Manager/Scrum Master to define product and product release requirements within an agile framework. A Senior Analyst, Product Development's key role is both to guide the software development requirements and the product itself.

Responsibilities

Drive product requirements and business analysis Read through detailed business and regulatory documentation and build stories (requirements) Maintain/prioritize product backlog Understand and have ability to present stories (requirements) to technical teams Be available to answer business-related questions from the technical team as they work through the sprint Ability to participate in the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities Ability to reverse engineer complex undocumented algorithms and turn them into requirements Assess bug reports and change requests from business stakeholders to determine validity and criticality Negotiate with business and technical team on scope and timing for change requests Analyze potential projects and work with Technical Team leads and Project Manager to determine cost estimates that will be communicated to a Business Sponsor Participate in prioritizing competing projects/resources

Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university with a major in computer science, engineering, finance, or mathematics; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have business analysis experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Agile software development experience would be an asset Certified SCRUM Product Owner would be an asset * Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated
