LaEUR(TM)analyste principal de laEUR(TM)equipe des operations, risques et contrale est responsable de fournir des conseils et du soutien en matiare de risques et de contrale aux equipes operationnelles des Services aux particuliers, Gestion de patrimoine et daEUR(TM)actifs, Canada. LaEUR(TM)analyste principal participe a laEUR(TM)examen et a la documentation des principaux risques et contrales de laEUR(TM)Inventaire des risques et des contrales.

Dans le cadre de ses responsabilites, laEUR(TM)analyste principal identifie les lacunes en matiare de contrale et propose des plans de mesures correctives pour resoudre les problames. Il / elle saEUR(TM)assure quaEUR(TM)une surveillance et des tests de contrale appropries sont effectues. LaEUR(TM)analyste principal travaille avec l'equipe de gestion des risques operationnels du groupe de Gestion de patrimoine et daEUR(TM)actifs, Monde pour veiller a ce que tous les problames soient examines et resolus.

Le candidat retenu possedera des connaissances approfondies dans le domaine de la gestion d'actifs, en plus d'une experience significative dans les contrales internes et / ou la gestion des risques operationnels. Vos responsabilites

  • Aider a laEUR(TM)etablissement et a laEUR(TM)achavement daEUR(TM)evaluations du contrale des risques (auto-evaluations des risques et du contrale) des secteurs operationnels
  • a?valuer et recommander de nouveaux contrales lorsque des lacunes ont ete identifiees
  • Effectuer periodiquement des tests de contrales conformement au plan de test defini, rendre compte des resultats a la direction, proposer des plans de remediation et soutenir la mise en A"uvre de ces solutions avec les equipes operationnelles
  • Travailler avec les equipes operationnelles pour mettre en A"uvre de nouveaux contrales et effectuer des tests reguliers
  • Rechercher et etudier de maniare autonome de nouveaux enjeux afin de maintenir les connaissances a jour
  • Recueillir, examiner et gerer les incidents de risque / evenements de perte internes, s'assurer qu'ils sont enregistres en temps opportun et que les plans d'actions correctives (CAP) sont developpes et mis en A"uvre dans les delais impartis
  • Travailler avec les responsables des Operations pour examiner et repondre aux conclusions et recommandations des verifications et s'assurer que les points de verification sont fermes dans les delais
  • Superviser la mise en A"uvre des ameliorations apportees aux processus de contrale interne en fonction des points de verifications
  • Ameliorer les processus actuels en ajoutant de la valeur et de laEUR(TM)efficacite
  • Identifier les problames et proposer des solutions
  • Collaborer avec des partenaires cles tels que les chefs operationnels, laEUR(TM)equipe de gestion des risques du groupe Gestion de patrimoine et daEUR(TM)actifs, Monde et les verificateurs internes/externes
  • Aider a la creation daEUR(TM)indicateurs de performance cles et a la production de rapports periodiques
Qualifications :
  • 3+ ans daEUR(TM)audit interne/externe ou en experience equivalente
  • Titre comptable, CPA complete ou en cours considere comme un atout
  • Connaissance des methodologies de verification, des cadres de contrale et des pratiques de gestion des risques
  • Connaissance de laEUR(TM)industrie de la gestion daEUR(TM)actifs (fonds communs de placement, fonds distincts, etc.)
  • Connaissance en analyse de donnees considerees comme un atout
  • Experience de travail dans une organisation axee sur le client, matricielle et axee sur des projets privilegies ; generalement acquise grace a une experience anterieure en verification, en conseil, en consultation ou en comptabilite publique dans un A Big Four A ou un autre cabinet de services professionnels, ou dans daEUR(TM)autres grandes organisations.

The Senior Analyst in the Operations, Risk and Control team is responsible to provide risk and control guidance and support to the Operational teams within Manulife Retail Investments Canada.
The Senior Analyst participates to the review and documentation of the key risks and controls in the Risk and Control Inventory. As part of its responsibilities, the Senior Analyst identifies control gaps and propose corrective action plans to solve for the issues. He / She ensures that appropriate control monitoring and testing is performed. The Senior Analyst will work with the Global Wealth Asset Management (GWAM) Operations Risk Management team to ensure all issues are reviewed and remediated accordingly.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth background and expertise in the asset management industry, in addition to significant experience with internal controls and /or the management of operational risks. A keen ability to build relationships with the impacted stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box offering multiple options for solutions.

Your Contribution & Functions:
  • Assist with the establishment and completion of risk control assessments (Risk and Control Self-Assessments) of operational business lines
  • Evaluate and recommend new controls where gaps have been identified
  • Perform periodical test of controls in accordance with the defined testing plan, report findings to management, propose remediation plans and support the implementation with the Operational Team
  • Work with Operational Teams to implement new controls and perform regular testing
  • Research and investigate independently new issues and innovations to maintain currency of technical expertise
  • Collect, review and manage internal risk incidents/ loss events, ensure they are logged in timely and that corrective actions plans (CAPs) are developed and implemented within the given deadlines
  • Work with the Operational Leaders to review and respond to audit findings and recommendations, and ensure audit points are closed within the expected timeframe
  • Oversee the implementation of internal control process improvements based on audit points
  • Improve current processes adding value and efficiencies
  • Identify problems and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with key partners such as Operational Leaders, GWAM Risk Management team and Internal/External auditors
  • Assist with metrics creation and reporting
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelors or diploma in Accounting
  • 3+ years of internal/external audit or equivalent business experience
  • CPA candidate or in progress an asset
  • Knowledge of audit methodologies, control frameworks and risk management practices
  • Knowledge of the Asset Management industry (mutual funds, segregated funds, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Data Analytics considered as an asset
  • Experience working in a client-facing, matrix, project-based organization is preferred; typically gained through prior audit, advisory, consulting, or public accounting experience in a "Big FouraEUR or other professional services firm, or other large organizations.
  • Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make value-added and practical recommendations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to effectively deliver key messages verbally and in writing, and to listen and consider various perspectives
  • Results oriented with a focus on quality, delivering value, and strong attention to detail
