Job Description

As an Accounting - Disclosure and Financial Performance for the Financial Markets at National Bank means acting as a specialist in accounting for the disclosure of results and balance sheet in a rapidly growing sector. This role allows you to make a positive impact on our organization through your expertise in accounting, controls, reconciliations, and disclosures.


Your Role




Develop and implement control mechanisms for accounting, tax, or financial operations to ensure the quality and integrity of financial information in the sector Identify and explain discrepancies and irregularities, and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary Participate in the implementation of new activities, policies, standards, and procedures related to your area of expertise, and establish appropriate analyses and controls Identify issues, contribute to the development of tailored solutions, and ensure their proper implementation in collaboration with colleagues, considering the diversity of cases Produce financial management reports on the balance sheet and results of the Financial Markets business lines Participate in the quarterly and annual disclosure processes for the Financial Markets sector within the Bank's consolidated results Continuously improve our performance tools across various platforms such as Excel, Power Query, SAP, etc. Act as a resource person for any questions related to your tasks

Your Team





Within the Accounting - Disclosure and Financial Performance for the Financial Markets team, you'll be part of a group of 12 colleagues reporting to the Senior Director. We collaborate with various teams under the Vice President of Financial Markets and Subsidiaries Accounting, as well as multiple other teams within the Finance sector (consolidation, taxation, accounting systems, etc.) and the Financial Markets sector. Our team stands out for its expertise in disclosure (statutory, regulatory, management).

Requirements




Bachelor's degree related to the field and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree related to the field and 2 years of relevant experience CPA accounting designation Experience in accounting Experience in financial reporting and analysis Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Collaborative mindset and focus on continuous improvement Ability to interact with various stakeholders across the Bank Proven interpersonal skills Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas) Knowledge of Power Query and SAP system (will be considered as a real asset for the role)
