Reporting to the Manager, Risk Oversight, you will be a key contributor to the delivery of the CDS and CDCC strategic project initiatives, providing initial and ongoing model validation to ensure risk management initiatives are in compliance with CPSS-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure (PFMI\xe2\x80\x99s) and internal policies/procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

Support the Manager to build and maintain a consistent validation process for models and other components used to handle financial risks.

Review all necessary documentation related to validation assignments

Understand existing and prospective projects and support needs, strategic objectives, business, and other implications or constraints, and decision-making processes

Participate in the design of policies, standards and procedures related to market, credit and liquidity risks

Communicate, bring up, and update collaborators on various topics (issues, action plans, etc.)

Build and maintain positive relationships with business partners (Architecture, Operations, Legal, IT) to satisfy their needs and anticipate potential issues

Provide guide support in risk measurement, and qualitative and quantitative analysis related to equity, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products

Must haves:

Bachelor\'s degree in finance, business, mathematics, or other quantitatively based degree. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree an asset

Minimum of 3-5 years of previous work experience in risk management and capital markets

Strong understanding of market, credit and liquidity fundamentals combined with a willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and techniques

Sound knowledge of financial risk management concepts and techniques, such as Value-at-Risk, funding curves and credit fundamentals

Exceptional communication (particularly in writing) and strong quantitative and technical expertise are required.

Strong time management and organization abilities in a high-pressure environment

Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills with the ability to lead multiple tasks and meet timelines without compromising the integrity of information.

Strong technology and information system skills, e.g. Matlab, SQL, VBA, R.

Nice to Haves:

CFA Charterholder or well-advanced in the program

FRM (Financial Risk Manager from GARP) or/and PRM (Professional Risk Manager from PRMIA)
