Senior Analyst, Marketplace Reporting & Insights

You will be a key member of our Intelligence and Insights organization responsible for gathering and analyzing marketing and marketplace performance data for an audience including our Executive team. By leveraging expertise in digital analytics, data visualization and relational database reporting, this role helps guide data-driven decision making in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Business Analysis & Reporting:

Produce weekly and monthly reports aimed at providing a holistic view of AutoTrader Marketplace performance; proactively identify context to trends, drivers of change, issues, and recommended actions and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Dig deep into Google Analytics user behaviour data to understand our users\' journeys, pain points, and targeting areas of opportunity.

Build dashboards and use appropriate visualizations to showcase KPIs and track progress. Act as a leader in the definition, implementation and maintenance of key performance indicators.

Monitor the trends of Marketplace KPIs over time and forecast performance in the future based on marketing spend, seasonality and other factors.

Create ad-hoc executive reports and analysis as necessary.

Marketing and Product Performance:

Support our Consumer Product and Marketing Teams by providing reporting and actionable analysis on the performance of marketplace products and solutions.

Advise the Marketing team on performance and areas of opportunity for their marketing campaigns to maximize ROI and ROAS.

Design and lead analysis of product performance, product ROI, and quantifying the value AutoTrader products generate for its customers.

Participate in preparation and production of sales tools and training components necessary for the Sales team to better sell and understand the value of the Marketplace. Support data and analysis needs for new product development as necessary.

Lead efforts to develop and maintain performance benchmarks, working with product owners to identify areas for improvement.

Data Knowledge:

Become familiar with AutoTrader product and market/industry data, specifically for the marketplace, and understand how it can be used to address business questions.

Work with Engineers and the Product team to provide reporting and website redesign recommendations.

Build from the ground up new reporting and analytical views using disconnected and disparate data sources to support new initiatives. Evolve and refine those efforts into long term performance management tools.

Conduct UAT of new data sources to ensure data is consistent and complete

Other Analysis:

Participate in other corporate and marketing analysis projects as required.

Required Experience:

Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent work experience in Analytics, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other quantitative fields

3+ years of experience in conducting and presenting analysis

Advanced Proficiency and 3+ years\' experience with Google Analytics (preferred), Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics platforms. Experience with the implementation of these platforms an asset.

Advanced Proficiency and 3+ years\' experience with SQL and large-scale relational database and BI reporting tools (e.g. SQL Server, BigQuery)

Advanced Proficiency with Excel

2+ years of experience with data visualization tools like Power BI (preferred), Tableau or similar

Working knowledge of other Office Suite Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Experience with statistical tools an asset but not required (i.e. R, Python, etc.)

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of Digital Analytics and Marketing Analytics

Experience developing requirements with critical thinking and problem-solving and formulating business metrics for reporting and analysis

Ability to identify key performance indicators from product plans and models, and influence stakeholder definitions for successful products

Good communication skills: ability to present clear and concise results of the analysis to business stakeholders

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand and articulate the \xe2\x80\x9cbig picture"

Ability to work with minimal guidance; self-starter

Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change with experience creating new analyses from unstructured, new data sources

Ability to successfully work and partner across multiple functions in an organization
