As a Senior Real Estate Valuation Analyst this is an exciting opportunity for you to get exposure to different asset types. You will also learn how to set up and manage the client workflow process using various tools available within Altus Group.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cash flow models using ARGUS Enterprise, using actual data provided by clients (rent rolls, operating statements, tenant sales, and various other financial information).
• Understanding of the Sales Comparison and Cost approaches for an appraisal report, which includes researching recent sale transactions and the concept of the replacement cost estimate using Marshall and Swift data.
• Learn and apply the administrative tasks that drive the Altus - client process appraisal process and gain insights into the market analysis and valuation of client properties.
• Contribute and assist with maintaining the Argus ValueInsight workflow.
• Learn to perform market analyses for properties, involving data gathering, analysis of market and submarket data, and determination of market rent based on recent leases at comparable properties and the subject property.
• Develop the ability to exercise judgment and acquire knowledge in data collection, enabling the formulation of reasonable valuation assumptions, including market rent and growth.
• Learn to review third-party appraisal reports as part of the valuation management process, which includes reviewing the ARGUS Enterprise cash flow model for factual and market assumptions, reviewing the appraisal reports, and comparing the valuation metrics to the benchmark data.
• Learn the use of best judgment and knowledge to determine the reasonableness of the valuation and ensure that the appraisal reports comply with applicable regulations.
• Participate in the comprehensive training of Analysts, including On-Boarding Training (Core Competency Training, Business Practices and Ethics & Basic Appraisal Principles and Procedures).
• Collaborate within a team of peers, inclusive of Analysts and Consultants; from local area and various geographic locations.

Key Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; potential exposure to the CRE industry through internships.
• 1-5 years of experience within Commercial real estate sector
• Strong skills in business writing, research, quantitative and analytical skills to complete an end-to-end appraisal review. You are proficient Excel ( v-lookups, pivot tables, DCF models); familiarity with ARGUS Enterprise is a plus.
• Proactive, resourceful, and committed to continuous learning and certification.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
