Requisition ID: 200614Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.Purpose:Contributes to the overall success of the Global Derivatives Onboarding (\xe2\x80\x9cGDO\xe2\x80\x9d) in ensuring a client-focused and timely completion of the derivative review for GBM clients and supporting risk management for derivative and other onboarding requirements. The role includes coordinating with internal Bank stakeholders and interacting with Front Office and clients to address various onboarding activities such as collection/processing of regulatory documentation & resolution of escalated client challenges at the time of client onboarding, at the time of periodic refresh or at ad hoc review periods. All activities must be conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures that apply to the GDO team. The role also supports specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives that are executed in support of the GBM Onboarding team\xe2\x80\x99s business strategies and objectives.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Ensure that the Bank is compliant with [derivative] regulatory obligations and Bank-driven risk measures at the time of client onboarding, at the time of periodic refresh or at ad hoc reviews.
  • Assist derivative clients in satisfying [derivative] regulatory requirements.
  • Work independently and in partnership with other internal stakeholders (Front Office, Credit, Margin, Documentation, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and KYC) to deliver on [derivative] regulatory requirements. Demonstrate knowledge of documentation requirements necessary to address regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as a [derivative] subject matter expert to the broader onboarding team, Front Office and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with the onboarding team in facilitating the review of derivative clients in an efficient, compliant, and client-centric manner, rapidly triaging and escalating complex issues to management for resolution.
  • Update internal systems (e.g., Fenergo) with relevant client information.
  • Perform exception management, reconciliations, and data analysis across-systems to ensure counterparties are correctly mapped for downstream reporting, as necessary.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to coordinate with other remediation / onboarding / offboarding / PR initiatives between derivatives, KYC and other onboarding stakeholders regarding touchpoints with overlapping clients for review.
  • Identify opportunities and/or contribute to the implementation of improvement in controls, customer service, and productivity; interact with Management to provide operational input and recommendations.
  • Prepare status and periodic reports to stakeholders as may be required.
  • Perform ad-hoc, special, and/or focused data analytics as necessary, as well as other duties and projects as assigned, to support various GBMO projects or testing/regulatory requests.

  • University degree in business, finance, law or other relevant field preferred
  • 1-3 years working experience with financial services industry for clients\xe2\x80\x99 regulatory onboarding and requirements
  • Working knowledge of Capital Markets and current regulatory environment in the Financial Service Industry
  • Knowledge of current and anticipated regulatory frameworks impacting client onboarding (Canadian KYC/AML, Canadian Trade Reporting, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MIFID and FATCA) an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office and working knowledge of Excel, with experience in data analytics
