THE POSITION



The Senior Analyst, Cybersecurity is a key member of the IT Cybersecurity team responsible for managing and enhancing enterprise security posture. This role specializes in Microsoft security technologies and core cybersecurity functions. It ensures regulatory compliance while safeguarding critical systems across both cloud and on-premises environments.


RESPONSIBILITIES



Implement and manage cybersecurity controls for systems, networks, and applications. Lead external vendor cybersecurity relationships. Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts using SIEM tools; triage and escalate incidents. Perform vulnerability assessments, compliance reviews, and risk analysis. Respond to and remediate cybersecurity events following established protocols. Conduct root cause analysis of incidents or alerts to improve preventive measures. Support cybersecurity requests via email, chat, alerts, and ticketing systems. Drive strategic planning, initiative prioritization, and mentor team members. Ensure resiliency and disaster recovery planning for critical systems. Collaborate across other IT and business functions.

Microsoft Security Expertise



Azure Security and Microsoft 365 Security Active Directory / Entra ID Microsoft Defender Suite Microsoft Sentinel Microsoft Purview Exchange, Teams, Conditional Access Policies CASB

Core Cybersecurity Functions



Endpoint hardening and IT/OT awareness. Incident response and threat hunting. Vulnerability management and patching. Risk assessment and mitigation. Compliance with NIST, SOX, and CIS benchmarks. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field and experience. 10+ years of enterprise cybersecurity experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft security technologies and frameworks. Experience with security audits and internal control concepts. Familiarity with other tools beyond Microsoft is an asset. Excellent understanding of security standards and best practices. Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or rapid growth through related system integrations is highly valued.

Preferred Certifications



Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Information Security Administrator Associate, Security Operations Analyst Associate CISSP, SANS, GIAC certifications, or equivalent
