iAGMA is the portfolio manager for iA Financial Group and manages assets consisting of general insurance company funds, segregated funds, mutual funds, and managed accounts worth over $110 billion.

The Asset Allocation (AA) team is responsible for providing world-class expertise in asset allocation to directly enhance investment performance, advance client experience, and accelerate company growth. The AA function strives to be a center of excellence in strategic asset allocation, tactical trading, and manager selection across a broad range of public and private markets.

Role Summary



We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to help develop a comprehensive suite of asset allocation capabilities. In this role, you will leverage industry best practices, cutting-edge academic research, and proprietary knowledge to create advanced investment models that drive systematic portfolio construction and asset allocation.



You will work on some of these projects:

Quantitative development of long-term return and risk assumptions (strategic asset allocation) Research and development of tactical allocation models and formulation of macroeconomics-driven market outlooks Creation of tactical investment signals based on economic or market intuition Development of analytical tools for private investments and external manager portfolios Implementation of robust portfolio construction and optimization tools Development and deployment of a unified empirical macroeconomic research platform Integration of the latest academic and market research into our investment processes and systems Supporting portfolio managers in fund rebalancing, exposure tracking, and performance analysis Simplifying, improving, and automating existing manual processes Research into new asset classes Creation of analytical tools for our investment platform to improve performance Integration of artificial intelligence into the investment process

What you bring to the team:



Master's degree in finance, economics, or another quantitatively oriented discipline At least two years of experience in quantitative finance Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, SQL, and Excel/VBA Technical expertise in building systematic, data-driven models Ability to conduct independent research on a wide range of problems Strong understanding of statistical estimation, factor modeling, and time series analysis Empirical research mindset and a focus on achieving practical results Economic or financial intuition and a fundamental understanding of markets and macroeconomics Exceptional problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity Advanced knowledge of English, as the person will be required to communicate daily with English-speaking customers across Canada via email and phone calls. Strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

The typical hiring range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000 CAD per year, for 37.5 hours per week; the base salary offered may vary based on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the position.
