Summary of responsibilities:




The Senior Advisor, Training Sustainability is responsible for leading a project on the national review of CATSA's training processes, systems, and recurrent programs. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, ensuring consistency, and supporting a sustainable, integrated approach to training delivery across CATSA. The Senior Advisor, Training Sustainability, performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed



To qualify for the position, you must have:



Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Adult Education, Training, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Operations Management, or another discipline relevant to the duties of the position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in project and program management, process improvement, or organizational effectiveness within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. Demonstrated experience mapping and analyzing end-to-end business processes or workflows to identify efficiencies and improvement opportunities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize complex, multi-source information into actionable recommendations. Experience engaging and facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups, including operations, training, and senior management. Experience planning and managing complex projects, preparing reports, presentations, visual documentation and briefing materials for decision-making at the management or executive level.

This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:



Skilled in analyzing complex data and processes, translating insights into strategic, practical recommendations. Strong understanding of digital transformation and process modernization, including the use of automation, system integration, and technology solutions to enhance training or operational efficiency. Strong project management and organizational abilities, delivering high-quality results under tight timelines with a high level of accuracy and data integrity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing clear reports, frameworks, and presentations for senior audiences. Proven ability to influence, build consensus, and facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups. Experienced in business process analysis, change management, and continuous improvement. Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, exercising sound judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive or complex information. Adaptable to evolving technologies, systems, and organizational priorities; able to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.

Valuable skills include:



Knowledge of CATSA's mandate, training structure, and regulatory environment. Experience in program evaluation, quality assurance, or continuous improvement frameworks. Familiarity with learning management and performance systems (LMS, PEMS, XRT) and data visualization and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel Power Pivot, SSRS). Experience with digital transformation, process automation, organizational modernization or system integration in a training or operational environment. Familiarity with modern tools or technologies that support process optimization and data-driven decision-making (e.g., AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, data dashboards, or API-based integrations). Experience developing continuous improvement frameworks and change management strategies.

Specific work requirements:



Language Profile: English Essential; Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
