The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Manager, Engineering \xe2\x80\x93 Bell Mobility Radio. The candidate will take part in various activities related to the deployment and support of radio communication networks dedicated to public safety.Bell Mobility Radio\xe2\x80\x99s mission is for our Radio Networks, Service and Customer experience, to be recognized by customers as the Best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement RF Design and Engineering Standards leveraging various Agile, Lean, and Scrum based methodologies + toolsets
  • Provide guidance to the E2E teams on RF engineering best practices, inclusive of RF propagation modelling and antenna design.
  • Deep Knowledge of EMF and Safety Code 6 Analysis, as well as ability to liaise with regulatory departments.
  • Ability to perform value stream mapping and the subsequent business impact analysis of the design standards on cost, cycle time and quality.
  • Ability to expose problems, support effective root future proofing of the Wireless Access network infrastructure while driving customer focused solution development.
  • Vendor and/or Supplier Management ensuring technology and logistic delivery meets project timelines
  • Highly autonomous and self-motivated, able to understand what must be done, prioritize, & action.
  • Champion effective communications and information reporting. Distil key messaging for Leadership
  • Leverage experience and professional technique to creatively unblock challenges and reduce risk
  • Encompass and influence all E2E teams/platforms/tools to engage and deliver on target
  • Operate independently and autonomously, with sense of decision making, under minimal supervision
  • Ensure and instill Change Management best practice
Critical Qualifications:
  • Designs of distributed in-building antenna networks with bidirectional RF-RF and/or Fiber-RF amplifiers;
  • Design based on architectural plans and preliminary cost assessment;
  • Assembling projects and proposals to clients with the sales group;
  • Execution of projects on client approval;
  • Evaluate network equipment for performance, scalability and security
  • Provide technical support to Tier 2 and Tier 1 support staff during times of complex faults and to pre-sales engineering group in quote preparation;
  • Write methods of procedures to put in production and/or to upgrade any network equipment in real time without any customer impact;
  • Other Radio Network engineering requirements:
  • IP-based equipment integration;
  • RF coverage analysis;
  • Radio terminal configuration;
  • Radio console configuration for 911 dispatch centers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering/Technologist or equivalent;
  • 5+ years of RF and telecommunications experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
