In this role, you would support the Chief Ethics and Compliance Office in implementing and overseeing Ivanho\xc3\xa9 Cambridge\'s compliance and financial crime prevention program across all offices of the company in Canada and abroad. You will assist various stakeholders in interpreting and applying the program, including its policies, guidelines, and procedures. You will regularly provide advisory support to business units and stakeholders within the company.

Main Responsibilities:

Conduct due diligence on investment partners in the real estate sector, as well as suppliers and other contractors of the company;

Draft and ensure regular updates to corporate compliance policies and guidelines under the responsibility of the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, particularly regarding due diligence on business partners, governance, and financial crime prevention;

Regularly provide legal advice and support on the application and interpretation of policies and various frameworks related to financial crime;

Support the Ethics and Compliance team in both technical compliance expertise and organizing priorities, offering recommendations to facilitate decision-making;

Establish and monitor surveillance and control measures for implementing various frameworks across all business offices of the company;

Monitor compliance requirements that may affect the company, both in Canada and internationally, analyze their impact, propose necessary adjustments, and communicate them to various stakeholders;

Identify and implement risk mitigation measures related to compliance and financial crime;

Provide training, support measures, and information dissemination on best compliance practices to business units;

Act as a subject matter expert in various business unit initiatives;

Collaborate regularly with colleagues from CDPQ (Caisse de d\xc3\xa9p\xc3\xb4t et placement du Qu\xc3\xa9bec) to establish a coordinated approach to financial crime prevention and share best practices;

Conduct compliance audits, including sampling, and perform risk assessments as needed.

The key to success

Member of the Quebec Bar or a member of the Bar of another relevant jurisdiction;

7 years of relevant experience in compliance, law, or another relevant area of expertise;

Excellent knowledge of, or a marked interest in, practices and principles applicable to ethics and compliance;

Knowledge of personal information protection, an asset;

Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the Company and maintain good professional relationships with members of business units and management;

Strong writing skills in both French and English - bilingualism essential, along with solid communication and simplification skills. Oral and/or written interactions with external partners based outside Quebec (service providers, law firms, peers, bankers, brokerage firms, credit analysis firms, credit agencies, etc.);

Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, curiosity, autonomy, and ability to handle pressure;

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities;

Rigor and attention to detail.
