We are looking for a Senior Advisor to provide electrical and technical field support to the Processing Operations Electrical team. This position will assist the PO Electrical team to plan, procure and schedule major maintenance activities such as shutdowns, rebuilds and Expansion work. The role is based in Labrador City, NL.

Reporting to the ElectricalSuperintendent working on a Monday-Friday schedule, you will:

• Role model safety in the team and fulfill obligations in IOC safety program
• Help the PO Electrical team in creating change management requests to get engineering support and/or to document changes in electrical infrastructure
• Provide technical support to the Expansion Projects group to ensure IOC electrical standards and best practices are followed
• Provide support to the C2 Electrical committee for the generation of electrical standards and systems
• Participate in defect elimination teams as required
• Create budgets and long term resource requirements
• Develop business case for AFE preparation (CAPEX & OPEX)
• Review the Modernization and Automation Plan and assist in developing long term goals (5 year and 10 year plan)

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A strong background in the Electrical and Instrumentation field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience
• Hold a Journeyperson Trade Certification or Engineering Degree (Electrical)
• Strong safety focus and willingness to enforce safety protocols and procedures
• Strong work management execution history
• Strong leadership experience and great communication skills
• Computer literacy in MS Office applications
• Experience and knowledge of the Pellet Plant would be considered an asset

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets that serves customers worldwide.
