Senior Advisor, Credit Risk Management

Job Description


We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with extensive expertise in credit risk management in the commercial or industrial sector. Your in-depth knowledge of the Ontario markets (real estate, manufacturing, agriculture, etc.). will be required for this role, as well as experience with growing and medium-sized companies You will participate in identifying, measuring, monitoring, managing and mitigating credit risk for the Business Services sector. You will also be responsible for supporting the sector\'s activities by analyzing the risks and making recommendations. More specifically, you will be required to:
Advise and support internal clients and partners in the positioning, planning, development, implementation and follow-up of various strategic projects and mandates under your responsibility (products, offers, coaching, etc.).
Ensure the development and evolution of policies, standards, models and programs in support of your unit\'s strategic projects and mandates
Identify and analyze issues to make recommendations to the relevant authorities.
Monitor market trends and changes in the external environment and corporate portfolio to help minimize exposure to risk
Establish operational frameworks to support credit risk management activities for your sector
Report on the level of risk in your sector and on the application of frameworks
Represent your unit on various committees

What you bring to the table
Bachelor\'s degree in finance, economics, administration, statistics or a related field
A minimum of nine years of relevant experience in corporate finance and credit risk
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in credit risk management and regulatory environment (framework, risk models, regulatory)
Experience in financing operations (granting, review, etc.)
Experience in data and portfolio analysis
Expert proficiency in both English and French due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to credit risk and accounting standards for financial instruments
Knowledge of credit risk models and methods: risk parameters (PD, PCD and ECD), collateral management, limit and risk management Ambiguity, Communicates effectively, Interpersonal Savvy, Strategic mindset
