We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor - Talent Development & Learning (Design) within our Talent Management Strategies team. The Senior Advisor reports to the Manager, Talent Development & Learning (Design), and will provide strategic support by engaging with stakeholders and client groups to identify learning needs, gaps and priorities for developing our clients. As the lead for learning projects, the Senior Advisor will collaborate and partner with stakeholders, instructional designers, learning specialists and various internal and external entities to identify, develop, and implement learning strategies and solutions designed to modernize our curriculum and support professional growth and development and improve organizational performance.

Description:

As the Senior Advisor, you have practical expertise in organizational development, curriculum design, team effectiveness, facilitation, competency based learning, and adult learning strategy and design. To be successful you will combine your practical experience and academic knowledge of leadership and employee development and competency-based development in the planning and strategic design of learning solutions using various methodologies and modalities. You will act as a project lead, or work within project teams, and establish strategic relationships within and outside the organization to create learning solutions. You will be expected to continually enhance your knowledge through ongoing research in your specialty areas and determine current trends and leading practices that provide leaders and employees with the best solutions to suit their development needs. As an adult learning professional, you will bring a comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles, directed and self-directed learning methodologies, consultation, evaluation, research, and project management skills to the role. You must be able to demonstrate your internal consultation skills to work effectively with stakeholders and partners across the province to determine learning needs and achieve development and organizational goals. In the Senior Advisor role, you will engage with a diverse range of clinical and corporate professionals. You understand that the success of any learning requires a level of stakeholder engagement, readiness to learn, and relevant material in a modality for the learner to actively engage in their development, all with the goal of enhancing competency and changing behaviour. As the Senior Advisor, you understand the value of human-centered design and working in cross-functional teams to achieve quality development of relevant learning.

Required Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Education: Org Development, HR, Behavioral Sciences, Adult Learning, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years: practical experience creating competency-based learning for leaders and employees, and developing leaders/employees, team effectiveness, and organizational effectiveness. Strong knowledge of the methodologies and practices of organizational effectiveness and change management. Fluent in principles of adult learning, taxonomies, and human-centered design. Demonstrated analytical decision-making, project management, group facilitation, innovative problem-solving, and internal consulting. Advanced experience collaborating in the development of learning using various methodologies. Advanced interpersonal skills and relationship building at various levels. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, evaluate, and improve others performance. Knowledge of current and future trends/practices in adult, leadership and employee development. Demonstrates LEADS Competencies: Lead Self, Engage Others, Achieve Results, Develop Coalitions and Systems Transformation. Demonstrates AHS Values: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety.
Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, often in a virtual environment, amid ambiguity and change to meet project expectations. Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong sense of urgency coupled with robust organizational and time management skills; including the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting with multiple projects and prioritize in a deadline driven environment. Advanced understanding of use of evidence-based research and evaluation for decision-making and program development.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master\'s Degree in Adult Education, Leadership or related field. Relevant certifications of CSTD, CACE, CCM, and PROSCI or another related field to maintain currency and proficiency are an asset. Experience in an organization of significant size and complexity and a good understanding of the healthcare industry is preferred.
