Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrative Specialist in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
About you:
Provides general administrative support and office management to leadership and teams. Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment in managing the flow of work within the area of responsibility. Works with a limited degree of supervision, with full authority of the supported leader(s).
Responsibilities:
Oversees the time administration process for site AB TES contractor billing process
Leads and acts as a resource for and provides guidance and coaching to contractor administrative staff within AB TES
Performs on-boarding and off-boarding of personnel through the NEMT (non-employee management tool) tool for the AB TES organization
Maintains a list of all the personnel within the organization that is used to support Genome reporting
Assists managers with hiring process for Dow employees - scheduling of interviews and on-boarding process
Provides a wide variety of secretarial/administrative support to leadership and teams within a function, business or geography, exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
Prepares correspondence, communications, and responses to inquiries on behalf of supported leader(s) with limited oversight
Arranges domestic and international business travel, coordinates meeting and event arrangements, and/or tracks expenses that requires a heightened level of detail
Monitors and tracks expenses against budgets; resolves discrepancies, and provides reports to cost center owner or budget manager
Coordinates the end-to-end delivery of department or group events or special projects
Acts as the department focal point with external vendors, contractors, or service providers.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
3 or more years of relevant Administrative experience is required.
Proficiency with computers and office equipment is mandatory. The successful candidate will be using a variety of office software, such as email, scheduling, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Access.
Proficient in SAP.
Previous Administrative experience.
Previous experience coordinating meetings and travel and supporting multiple managers.
