Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Supervisor Claims Adjusting, the Senior Adjuster is required to work independently and to promote a cooperative work environment as part of the Provincial and Area team. Assigned to a specific office(s) covering a designated geographical area and conducted some of the more complex inspections within these work units. The Senior Adjuster assists an assigned Supervisor Claims Adjusting to monitor that the services provided by adjusting staff are efficiently performed, are consistent with AFSC standards and that the workload is completed in a timely fashion and in order of significance.

Client Relationships:\xe2\x80\xa2 Respond to customer inquiries and disputes with the ability to resolve with clients if the client is not satisfied with the original Adjusters findings.\xe2\x80\xa2 Schedule inspections and assign Adjusters in an equitable manner by matching the Adjuster\'s capabilities with the nature of the inspection assignment.\xe2\x80\xa2 Establish situational relationships with clients to obtain information and communicate inspection objectives to obtain cooperation with inspection activities.\xe2\x80\xa2 Establish relationships with Branch staff and Team Coordinators in the field to keep them abreast of Claims Adjusting Services activities, assist them with timely inspections related to their clients and communicate the results of inspections relating to their clients.
Operational Excellence:\xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in checking inspection reports as requested\xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in identifying and resolving individual risk management and triage issues.\xe2\x80\xa2 Provide clarity of direction to less experienced Adjusters through the communication of inspection strategy and direction coupled with clear expectations of the individual employee.\xe2\x80\xa2 Support a Supervisor Claims adjusting Services in the supervision of adjusting staff in their assigned work unit, and conduct all types of inspections within this defined geographical area with a primary focus on the most complex inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS:\xe2\x80\xa2 High School Diploma or equivalent;\xe2\x80\xa2 Valid Class 5 Driver\'s License;\xe2\x80\xa2 Flexibility to travel at minimal notice to various locations throughout Alberta for extended periods of time;\xe2\x80\xa2 Farm experience, agriculture industry experience, or courses in crop management and/or agronomy is a preferred assets.
Comfortable with both working individually or as part of a team, the successful candidate will have demonstrated technology skills (comfort with computers, GPS tracking, smart devices and corresponding applications). This position requires the physical ability to walk long distances through mature crops, and the ability to climb grain bins.
