StoneRidge Insurance Brokers is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst who excels at supporting internal stakeholders by analyzing numbers, coordinating with teams, and providing actionable insights and recommendations. Pay:

From $100,000 annually

What You Will Do:

Analyze insurer performance data (loss ratios, premium growth, retention, and margins) and monitor loss development and reserve adequacy. Develop, validate, and maintain actuarial models to support compensation forecasting, profitability analysis, and strategic reviews. Collaborate with FP&A, underwriting, and finance teams to align forecasts with financial plans and provide cross-functional actuarial support. Prepare reports, executive summaries, and dashboards for strategic meetings and monthly operational tracking. Ensure data quality, reporting accuracy, and maintain documentation of models, assumptions, and methodologies for audit and review. Participate in insurer meetings, training, onboarding, and escalate issues or risks identified through analysis as needed.

What You Bring:

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with expertise in actuarial modeling and data interpretation. Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; experience with SQL or Python is an asset. Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance, including loss ratios, reserve analysis, and forecasting. Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. High attention to detail, data accuracy, and strong organizational skills in developing methodologies and models. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental and external stakeholder engagement.

Education & Experience:

FSA or FCIA (preferred) University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is required. Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in actuarial science with a focus in the P&C insurance industry. Knowledge and experience with multiple BMS (including EPIC, Power Broker & TAM) is an asset.
