Job Description

This is a 6 months contract position. We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for accurate reconciliations and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline financial processes. This is part of an IFRS 17 implementation project.
- Create and maintain comprehensive SOPs for all financial processes, ensuring they are up to date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all aspects of the transition, including decisions made, methodologies applied, and calculations performed.
- Document the accounting treatments and judgments made under IFRS 17.
- Reconciling accounts from IFRS 4 to IFRS 17

- Command of IFRS Accounting

- At least 5+ years experience as a Senior Accountant managing full cycle accounting

- Solid understanding of Accounting Functions

- 5+ years of relevant job experience working with multiple stakeholders

- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar; CPA/MBA preferred

- Focus on reconciliations and SOP documentation.

- Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets

- Relevant experience in Banking/Insurance/ Financial Services
