Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and finalize
compilation (Notice to Reader)
and
review
engagements, including full working paper files and financial statements
Prepare and file
corporate tax returns
(T2s) and related schedules
Handle
personal tax returns
(T1s), tax planning, and client queries
Work on
special files
, including tax reorganizations, estate planning, and advisory tasks
Apply
ASPE
and
CSRS 4200
standards accurately and consistently
Mentor and support junior team members through technical guidance and file review
Maintain professional client communication and proactively support their needs
Manage multiple assignments with high attention to quality and timeliness
Candidate Profile:
CPA designation
(or nearing completion)
Minimum 2 years
of recent experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
Strong technical experience in both
assurance
(especially compilation and review) and
tax
(corporate and personal)
Proficient in
CaseWare
,
TaxPrep
or
Profile
, and Excel
Sound understanding of
ASPE
and Canadian financial statement disclosures
Detail-oriented, accountable, and able to work independently
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-trust environment with room to grow
