Our Edmonton and Calgary office is currently seeking a full-time experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role reports directly to our Partnership group. The successful candidate will be a career-focused Senior Accountant that is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm.

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Prepare year-end engagements and personal/corporate tax returns

\xc2\xb7 Plan and execute work related to Assurance and Accounting and income tax engagements

\xc2\xb7 Prepare financial statements that comply with accounting standards

\xc2\xb7 Able to build effective working relationships with clients

\xc2\xb7 Able to effectively respond to client requests and suggestions related to the engagement

\xc2\xb7 Audit financial statements

\xc2\xb7 Draft reports and responses to client queries for manager review

\xc2\xb7 Maintain communication between partners and other team members on an ongoing basis of progress and significant issues

Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Professional CPA designation

\xc2\xb7 2-3 years of public accounting and audit experience

\xc2\xb7 May consider applicants from 2021 and 2022 CFE writers

\xc2\xb7 Prior experience in the industries our firm currently supports considered an asset

\xc2\xb7 Excellent working knowledge of accounting standards

\xc2\xb7 Excellent analytical & problem solving skills

\xc2\xb7 An innovative thinker, comfortable in a team and client-focused environment

\xc2\xb7 Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail

\xc2\xb7 Community focused

\xc2\xb7 A team player who encourages the success of all

\xc2\xb7 Self-starter, able to work independently

\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills; and

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office considered an asset
