The Role:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by assisting with monthly and year-end reporting, financial analysis, and ongoing management support. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They will leverage strong technical and analytical skills to deliver high-quality work and provide financial insight that supports operational and strategic goals.
In this Role you will:
Assist with monthly financial adjustments and associated monthly financials and variance analysis for internal purposes
Assist with year-end reconciliations and working papers
Assist with preparation of Board Meeting materials
Assist with preparing statements of adjustments and coordinating receipt of closing proceeds for land
Liaise with Cost Administration for constant improvement and budgeting
Assist with property tax. Valuing properties, paying bills, etc.
Provide ongoing financial support to the management team
Assist with the reporting on overhead costs and variances
Assist with preparation of financial models and ROI's for future projects
Assist all members of the team in times of heavy volume or special "one-off" project or at the request of management with regards to any accounting or administration work
Assume full cycle bookkeeping duties for smaller entities within Richcraft Group of Companies
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field would be considered a strong asset
CPA Certification or working towards would be considered an asset
Tech savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Attention to detail and consistently produces accurate, high-quality work.
Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities
Self-starter with the attitude of rolling up your sleeves and get the job done
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
