Are you looking for a progressive role as Senior Accountant with a well renowned organization located in the Ottawa region? Robert Half is partnering up with a client looking to add a valuable member to their Finance team.

Responsibilities:

-Process and oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

-Keep up to date on statutory payroll changes

-T4 and ROE preparation as required

-Verify invoice validity

-Enter bills; make payments to suppliers and investors

-Follow up with vendors if any discrepancies

-Prepare deposits; and prepare cheques for signature

-Bank and Credit Card reconciliation

-Prepare monthly financial statements and update budget spreadsheets

-Prepare and monitor product profitability reports

-Input daily sales; Assist and enter inventory entries and adjustments

-Assist the management team; and implement new accounting procedures if required

-Month end and year end closing.

Qualifications:

-3+ years experience in a similar role

-Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting

-Pursuing CPA is a strong asset

-Experience with ERP systems

-Proficient in MS Office Excel

-Ability to work in a fast paced environment

-Self-starter, takes initiative and strong attention to details

-Team player; and excellent communications skills

-Patient, confident and a pleasant personality
