About the Company
Our client is a multi-licensed Cannabis company. They are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounting and assist with financial statement preparation for the organization.

About the Opportunity

• Prepare and present monthly financial reporting packages for Senior Management review.
• Coordinate filing of monthly/quarterly tax filings with external tax team.
• Support new systems or project selections and implementation from a strategic, finance and internal control perspective.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flows under tight reporting deadlines; required by External Lenders and Senior Management.
• Prepare schedules for fixed assets, leases, debt, equity, promissory notes, and other financial reporting tasks.
• Develop and document internal policies, monitor compliance with regulations and efficient business practices.
• Assist with the annual audit and reviews, ensure books and records are maintained in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure Operational Finance is closely integrated with other departments.
• Take on internal audit role within the Finance team to
• Review the capital assets and operating expenses GL coding and ensure correct classification on a weekly basis.
• Review AP and AR transactions to ensure correct classification and accounting treatment and provide guidance to the respective teams.
• Assist with banking and financing related communications.
• Ad-hoc projects as required to support organizational growth.

About You

• CPA
• Advanced knowledge of Excel;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS);
• Solid understanding of QuickBooks, SAP, MS Office and/or other accounting software

Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000/year
