Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial services, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role requires expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting audits, and performing account reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting corporate finance initiatives.

Duties

Manage all accounting operations, including Invoicing, Accounts Receivable and Payable Prepare month-ends and support the year-end process Perform accounts receivable calls as needed Monthly Bank Recs along with managing cash flow daily & cash flow forecasting Review inventory valuation every 3 months File all tax remittances, including HST & payroll Communicating with CRA File T4s with CRA File various annual returns and reports as required by the various provinces Review bank accounts daily and issue transfers between accounts as needed Balance GL accounts monthly Perform monthly GL entries Perform monthly WIP entry Issue payable payments as needed Issue credit card payments by due dates Perform monthly customer billing Prepare monthly job forecast with input from project managers Have knowledge of how to do payroll and accounts payable posting as back up to the accounts payable and payroll clerk Managing access to building keys, alarm codes, vehicles, and gas cards Reconcile petty cash monthly Submit payroll report, Statistics reports to government for 3 companies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred Minimum of 3 years accounting experience in Canada Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficiency SAGE accounting software Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver's license is required Bilingualism (English & French) would be an asset

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
