Job Description

Senior Accountant - Manufacturing
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with cost accounting experience who goes beyond the numbers to understand the business behind them. This hands-on role is ideal for someone curious, analytical, and motivated to learn about the company and its products, while contributing valuable insights that support decision-making and business growth. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner across departments, bringing accuracy, integrity, and a continuous-improvement mindset to all aspects of financial and cost accounting.
What You Will Do:

  • Support financial and cost accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and analysis.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting, track actual results versus budget, update cash flow and sales forecasts, and investigate variances.
  • Manage cost accounting and inventory, including analyzing material and labor costs, overseeing adjustments, and leading the annual physical inventory process.
  • Partner with teams across the company to provide financial insights, support ROI analysis for major projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including HST filings, surveys, privacy legislation, and maintaining ERP data integrity as a Visual Manufacturing ERP subject-matter expert.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid experience in full-cycle accounting and knowledge of ASPE/IFRS standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Visual Manufacturing or similar).
  • Curious, proactive, and resourceful with excellent communication skills.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Why This Role Matters:
You'll be a key member of the finance team, providing actionable insights that directly influence business decisions and growth. This role offers exposure to senior leadership, opportunities to lead important projects, and a clear path for progression into senior accounting or controllership positions. In the first 6-12 months, you'll become proficient in Visual Manufacturing ERP, develop a deep understanding of the company's accounting processes, and build strong relationships across departments.
