As a

Senior Accountant

at Manning Elliott LLP, you will play a pivotal role in understanding client businesses and navigating their accounting and tax challenges. Collaborating closely with the engagement manager, you will proactively anticipate issues and assess alternatives, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive solutions tailored to their needs. In addition to managing routine and complex client engagements, you will also take the lead in training and mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional development.





What You Bring



Educational Background:

Completion of, or currently pursuing, a CPA designation

Experience:

2 to 4 years' public accounting experience working with privately owned businesses

Skills:

Financial Expertise:

Solid understanding of fundamental financial accounting principles (ASPE), with hands-on experience in preparing both corporate and personal tax returns.

Language Proficiency:

Bilingual fluency in German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Organizational Strength:

Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in high-pressure environments, demonstrating strong time management and attention to detail.

Team Player:

Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining professional relationships. Minimum of 1 year experience mentoring and managing Junior Accountants, fostering team development

Growth Mindset:

Openness to learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment. Proactively identifies and addresses engagement challenges, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving.


What You'll Do



Understand client businesses to identify accounting and tax issues, providing informed recommendations to address them. Produce concise and complete reports for review by engagement manager Utilize technical knowledge to formulate recommendations for clients and the firm, while proactively anticipating and addressing potential issues. Preparation of personal and trust returns Plan and execute notice to readers and review engagements, assisting clients in preparing financial statements in compliance with ASPE standards. Mentor and train junior team members, offering constructive feedback to enhance their performance in future engagements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Recognize new business opportunities within existing client accounts. Coordinate with team members on advanced accounting projects, fostering teamwork across departments. Perform account reconciliations and analyses to support financial accuracy and decision-making. Engage with clients and internal teams to ensure expectations are met in a timely manner while promoting excellent service.
