JOB SUMMARY
AFD Petroleum is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to our Team for a 2 month contract. The individual will have exposure and/or experience with accounting for capital assets and project accounting, specific to internal capital asset construction. They will assist in redesign of the inventory item master and inventory costing/controls while developing processes to ensure accurate accounting of inventory. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of financial accounting/management principles and the ability to recommend and develop applications to new situations.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A recognized professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 progressive experience post designation
- Accounting/Finance/Business Administration Degree
- Experience in the Construction, Transportation or Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Business Central/Dynamics, SAP, Great Plains)
- Excellent organization and time management skills; demonstrates ability to exercise professional judgement.
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
