Manages the daily accounting operations, including supervising accounting team, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations, prepare financial statements, assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, and support the document coordination for year-end audits.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supporting the Controller in completing daily and other tasks and project work with compliance and deadlines in mind.
2. Developing and implementing processes with documentation for the accounting department.
3. Verifying systems and processes in place and making the changes whenever necessary.
4. Managing, directing and controlling daily processes with the accounting team, departments and stakeholders, including overseeing the Company's accounts payable and accounts receivables and updating and maintaining reports.
5. Supervising and providing adequate support and training to the accounting team to be successful in achieving goals.
6. Assisting with preparing and coordinating supporting documentation for year-end and audits.
7. Supporting the budget process, maintaining and updating various budget components, and assisting with quarterly financial forecasts for departments and at the aggregate level.
8. Reviewing contracts and tracking project milestones for deferred revenue and accounts receivable.
9. Supporting the HR/Payroll team with best practices for payroll processes.
10. Troubleshooting systems and processes. Make recommendations for improvements to attain efficiencies.
11. Creating and maintaining documentation and policies as assigned.
12. Any other Balance Sheet account reconciliations as required.
13. Any other ad hoc tasks or projects
Qualifications
1. Minimum requirement of newly acquired CPA designation.
2. Minimum of 3-4 years' related work experience.
3. Production or manufacturing experience and knowledge is an asset, but not required.
4. Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English with exceptional customer relations skills.
5. Intermediate computer skills that include Excel experience with ERP systems are preferred.
6. Ability to multi-task, be well-organized and detail-oriented, coordinate and collaborate with a team and different stakeholders while operating in a fast-paced and demanding environment managing multiple tasks and projects.
7. Take the initiative to troubleshoot, problem-solve and make decisions.
8. Ability to solve problems and set priorities while working effectively and independently in ahigh-performance team culture.
9. Possess good time management skills, understands how to prioritize, and works well underpressure to meet deadlines.
10. Exceptional customer service skills, communicating in a professional and respectful mannerwith both internal and external customers.
11. Desire and ability to learn new things.
