MODUS Structures has a new position within our Accounting Department. Reporting to the Controller, the

Senior

Accountant

is responsible for the following:

Assist in preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements as well as various management reports Assist in completion of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and income statements accounts, including WIP and Inventory accounts Hands on and review of the day-to-day accounting including monthly journal entries for revenue and COGS, GST remittances, bank reconciliations, project status updates and maintenance of the fixed asset continuity schedule Compile statistical reports, statements and summaries related accounting as required. The trends will need to be analyzed and responded to effectively to ensure desired results. Assist accounting team members where required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance Accounting designation or working towards a designation; 5+ years' accounting experience, with previous experience in accounting and financial analysis Advanced Excel is preferred Experience in a manufacturing/construction industry an asset Conscientious worker, who can work independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision Must be able to prioritize workload and work with deadlines on short notice. Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to work with all levels of the organization with high levels of integrity, tact and maturity

Crossfield, Alberta

, located 20 minutes north of Calgary. Our employees reside in Calgary, Airdrie, and surrounding communities.
