Whitetail Homes is a real estate developer and general contractor specializing in building condos in the Lower Mainland. We are currently hiring a full-time Senior Accountant to provide essential support to our accounting team. This newly created role reports directly to the CFO, offering broad exposure and the opportunity to participate in all facets of accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee accounts payable, month-end close, intercompany reconciliations and other general accounting functions as required.

- Coordinate and prepare both internal and external financial reporting, including job cost analysis and budget updates.

- Assist with preparation of monthly loan draws and other lender reporting.

- Lead preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual government filings (SD, GST, EHT & T5018 & WCB returns).

- Oversee a team of 3 accounting professionals.

- Assist with the preparation of the year-end working papers for annual review & compilation engagements for 20+ corporate entities.

- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations & standards as well as the company's internal controls and processes.

- Ad hoc financial planning and reporting as required by senior management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 8-10 years of accounting experience.

- Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred but not required)

- Experience working in the real estate or construction industry is an asset.

- Working knowledge of Sage 50 is preferred.

- Public accounting experience is an asset.

- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
