Senior Accountant (Opportunity to Grow into Accounting Manager)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing telecommunications organization. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the details of accounting today and is motivated by the opportunity to grow into an Accounting Manager role in the future. You will support the full accounting cycle, play a key role in month-end close, and work closely with leadership and external advisors as the company continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries Perform monthly balance sheet, bank, and GL reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain general ledger accuracy Prepare audit, tax, and year-end working papers Support AP, AR, and payroll coordination Maintain fixed asset and amortization schedules Investigate and resolve variances and discrepancies Assist with internal financial reporting and analysis Support process improvements and system enhancements

Growth Opportunity:

This role is designed to grow into an Accounting Manager position. Over time, you will have the opportunity to:

Take ownership of the month-end close Increase responsibility for financial reporting Support and eventually oversee junior accounting staff Act as a key accounting lead within the organization

Qualifications:

2-3 years of accounting experience CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred Experience in public accounting and/or industry Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting Comfortable in a hands-on, detail-oriented role Strong organizational and communication skills
