We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent
Senior Accountant
who will help support our clients and their businesses.
This role requires the ability to travel and work on-site at a client's office when required. Flexible working hours (24-40 hours per week) may be available, along with opportunities for remote work. The final working arrangement will be subject to mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing positive relationships with clients and team members
Complete monthly full-cycle accounting
Prepare financial statements and management reports for clients
Review of bookkeeping and accounting completed by clients or team members
Assist team members with consulting engagements
Potential Responsibilities:
Prepare compilation engagements including financial statements and corporate tax returns
Prepare corporate tax filings, GST, T4 and T5 information returns, and personal tax returns
Prepare and process payroll
Qualities:
Technologically savvy and open to adopting new technologies
Willingness to learn and grasps new concepts quickly
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passionate about delivering high-quality work
Understands and values the client-advisor relationship
Experience:
Minimum of three years public practice experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm
Experience with full cycle accounting (preferred)
Familiar with software including Caseware, Profile, and Microsoft Office
Experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred)
Education:
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
