ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - FINANCE (Downtown Calgary-Hybrid)

As a Senior Accountant you will report to the Vice President, Finance & HR, and be a part of a small but impactful Finance group that supports all facets of business through operations, tech growth to business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in internal and external reporting ensuring accurate accounting treatment for both financial reporting and audit processes.



What You Will Do:



Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with ASPE. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with financial data and analysis. Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts. Processing, reconciling, verifying and collecting on Accounts Receivable accounts. Ownership and administration of Accounts Payable and Receivables. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Supporting accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reporting by maintaining constant oversight and management of our accounting platform and integrations. Supports the Invoicing and Partner Pay Process. Serve as the point of contact for inquiries from customers and Service Partners. Review and maintain employee expense portal Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Review, manage, and maintain accurate contracts, agreements, and NDAs with Service Partners and customers. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance and automate workflows including participation in new Tech builds and billing enhancements. Ensure the bank reconciliation bank reporting activities are performed with timeliness and accuracy. Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks. Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and actions needed to identify problems. Conduct analysis to report to Senior Leadership Team. Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.

What You Bring:



Undergrad in Accounting, Finance or similar and relevant education. CPA or CA designation is required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in private enterprise. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (intermediate to advanced). Strong understanding of accounting software. Experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset. Fluent in English; both oral and written. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in transportation and logistics is an asset.

This position is located in () Calgary, AB which is where our Head Quarters are. We offer Flex with Purpose work arrangements such as; In Office (110 9th Ave SW) and Hybrid.
