Our team is looking for a Senior Accountant to join us in the exciting work we do in the Finance and Accounting Team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Common Groups Financial Services, it will be your responsibility to prepare regular monthly and quarterly management reporting and variance analysis related to shared Common Groups costs. In this position, you also get to be a key expert and resource in managing and reporting data from our various financial systems.

What You Get To Do:

Accounting/Financial

  • Responsible for performing day-to-day functions related to general accounting with minimum assistance. Key activities include:
  • Document and continually improve accounting and reporting processes.
  • Complete month end journal entries; recurring/ad hoc reconciliations.
  • Collect and record the annual budget and monthly financial forecasts.
  • Prepare analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports.
Reporting
  • Responsible for the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing actual, budget and forecast information and trends. Key activities include:
  • Assist in analysis and reporting of special projects.
  • Manage large dataset used to support Management Reporting, while maintaining data integrity and output accuracy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on managing and reporting financial data from multiple databases.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to Senior Management consolidating total Common Groups costs into a single suite of presentations and reports.
  • Act as a key resource in preparing and supporting regulatory applications.
Business Support
  • Apply knowledge, initiative and strong interpersonal skills to deliver high quality customer service
  • Work as a business partner to provide cost center owners support to interpret financial results and develop forecasts and budgets.
  • Effectively communicate accounting policies/procedures to non-financial personnel, including guidance on GL coding.
Who You Are:
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business Communication
  • Not less than 5 years\' experience in an accounting or financial management environment
  • Proven knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • CPA designation is required
  • Experience working with large enterprise financial systems, preferably Oracle Fusion
  • Advanced Excel skills and application (pivot tables, formulas, graphs, etc.)
  • Proven strong analytical skills, accuracy, and high-quality work while meeting tight timelines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, good judgment and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated to learn, and take initiative to advance business knowledge
