Summary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Year-end assurance engagements - Plan, prepare and review information for review and audit engagements across various industries, including the related tax return where applicable
- Prepare and review accurate and properly formatted financial statements with appropriate disclosures and ensure that CPA Canada Handbook principles are followed where appropriate Year-end compilation engagements - Preparation and review of Compilation engagements, corporate tax returns and personal tax returns are expected but not a focus in this position (assurance engagements and experience are the focus)
- Prepare and reconcile investment schedules (or review schedules performed by other junior staff) Other - Supervise, train, develop and mentor co-op students and other junior staff
- Communicate effectively with clients to obtain information and provide basic advice
- Interact with all levels of staff, including partners, on client and administrative matters
- Provide input into staff performance reviews REPORTS TO Partners and managers QUALIFICATIONS - University degree
- CPA designation or working towards your CPA designation
- Minimum two years experience in public accounting, ideally four to five years
- An uncompromised level of honesty and integrity

- Consummate professional in every way (demeanor, attire, written and verbal communication, meeting deadlines, adapting to one\xe2\x80\x99s environment and being a role model to staff/clients, etc.)

- Excellent time management and organizational skills; habit of effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines - must be detail orientated
- Internally motivated to deliver accurate results in a highly efficient manner on time and on budget
- Demonstrates courage and problem solving skills when confronting performance issues
- Demonstrated ability to schedule, delegate and oversee on time, on budget delivery
- Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands in an environment that requires adaptability
- Self-Managed, self-motivated, results oriented \xe2\x80\x93 takes pride in a successful team
- Evaluates and recommends/makes improvements to processes while ensuring that practices comply with corporate accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations
- Demonstrates the habit of delivering exceptional customer service Job Type: Full-time Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
