The Opportunity
Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented
Senior Accountant
to join our team in
Langley, British Columbia
on a 14-month term contract. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, working closely with a growing Finance team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
Prepare and analyze monthly income statements and balance sheets for multiple entities in Canada and the US
Prepare daily and monthly KPI reports, prepare quarterly and year end working papers
Prepare account reconciliations and month end adjusting journal entries
Prepare cheque, ACH, and wire transfers
Classify, code, and summarize financial data into accurate, and up-to-date financial records
Prepare provincial and state tax filings
Resolve issues within the ERP system
Supervise and train accountants and administrators
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
Post-secondary education in a related field such as business, finance or accounting
CPA designation
At least three to five years of accounting work experience, preferably in a large organization
Experience using Sage 100 or a similar ERP system is a strong asset
Strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

The base pay range for this role is: $70,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
