We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations across USA and Canada. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods across designated routes including the USA, Canada (all across From Vancouver to Toronto & Montreal)
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in basic automotive repair as needed to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.
Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in freight transportation.
Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road, including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
Strong English communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
