Selling Sales Manager Opportunity!

Ashley Canada is currently looking for a results driven Selling Sales Manager for our Penticton store located at 3039 Skaha Lake Rd.

As a Selling Sales Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management and coaching of the sales team to effectively execute daily functions, develop an effective sales environment, to obtain maximum store growth, and ensure delivery of exceptional customer service. You will achieve mutually agreed upon targets in key areas, achieve individual targets by successfully converting guest opportunities to realized sales, and assist the Lead Selling Sales Manager in creating an inspirational, fun, and productive culture that delivers team member retention and performance.

As the Selling Sales Manager you will:
  • Meet or exceed individual and store-established goals for sales volume, margin, performance indexes, conversion rate, average sale, and mattress per guest (MPG).
  • Coach and assist sales team members achieve personal sales targets to meet or exceed sales team written sales goals each month.
  • Develop sales team through motivation, coaching, and product knowledge education.
  • Train and coach, the sales team on product, upcoming promotions, selling skills, execution of company policies and administrative processes.
  • Ensure all guests receive exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure the overall appearance and presentation of the store, both interior and exterior, and store operating protocols are in place to make it a great shopping environment for guests.
  • Ensure stock availability when making a sale and enters orders into system. Make approximate delivery dates clear to each client.
  • Shop the competition on a regular basis. Maintain knowledge of their pricing, programs, products, and service.
  • Lead weekly and daily meetings, and training sessions in a manner which inspires sales team and ensures retention of key points.
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
  • 5 years of proven success in previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a team environment.
  • Must be available to work long, irregular hours standing, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn in-house computer programs.
  • Post secondary education in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 2-3 years\' experience in retail or hospitality management.
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Must be professional in appearance, with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Must complete and pass in-house training programs on selling and product knowledge.
  • Committed to professional and personal development.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check may be required.
